About AlHaj Abed Lab

AlHaj Abed Lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding of how maternal and paternal chromosomes communicate using genomic approaches and super-resolution imaging. Our research aims to uncover the underlying mechanisms that regulate these interactions and how they contribute to development.

Our lab specializes in super-resolution imaging of chromatin and genome-wide chromatin confirmation capture. We believe that collaboration and diversity are essential for scientific progress, and we foster an inclusive, diverse and supportive work environment. Our lab will open in January,  2024 and be located in a vibrant and dynamic scientific community at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics, in Freiburg, Germany. We welcome collaborations with other scientists and institutions that share our research interests.

Our Team.

Great work starts with great people. We’re a team of creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and collaborators who bring different perspectives and strengths to everything we do. We value good ideas, open communication, and enjoying the process along the way. Get to know the people behind our work and what makes our team unique.
